Alzheimer's Research
A stressful job could increase the risk of Alzheimer's disease in later life. A spokesman from Alzheimer's Research UK said that the experiments carried out on mice could not neccessarily apply to humans, but there has been some research which highlighted a possible link between chronic stress and cognitive decline. He added that people who use their brains regularly by having an intellectually demanding but not stressfuljob lower the chance of developing Alzheimer's or dementia.
